A friend of mine was staring at my tank for a long time the other day, and noticed hundreds (maybe thousands) of little white specs on the glass of my tank -- less than 1mm in length, though the size varies slightly. Upon furthur inspection and some squinting, they are all little critters. Some can move around pretty fast (I was hoping baby snails, but I'm ruling that out).
I can't really give a more detailed description of them without a magnifying glass (working on getting one soon). They are mostly on the glass where there is some green algae, but there are several on glass I just cleaned yesterday. Any ideas of what these might be? Good or bad? |

Most likely they are some sort of pod, either amphipod or copepod either one is a good sign your tank is coming along nicely.
