"Reeflections" - Mirror shots of an SPS Aquarium

    Hi everyone here at Reefland,

I wanted to share these pretty neat pics.

Anyways, it's always nice to be able to view SPS from above and here is a unique way to do that - using the surface as a mirror. I've coined this aquarium photogrophy technique as "Reeflections".

    A few more to come,

    Happy Reefin',

    Rob,

LOL no. Believe it or not that is only a 100g tank hehe.

Howz it Barry? So far I have one surviving crocea in the affected tanks. My black and other show maximas and croceas in another tank are unaffected thank goodness.

John, I haven't had any problem, thank goodness

I have shipped several and everyone has repoted that they are doing great. I am glad that I get all my clams from ONE supplier. Also holding them from 7-10 days helps I think.

The tanks in the garage aren't anything too look at especially when the front glass of the tanks are covered in thick coralline

LOL Rocky - these pics are the real thing although sometimes I myself take a double take hehe.

To get the mirror effect turn off all pumps and fans. Let the tank settle for a minute or so and keep yer lights on. Take your camer close to the tank at midlevel and focus towards the surface and shoot.

    Good luck.

Tubs, again great work. I saw your pics at RC, they're all great. How old is this tank?

lessee - a little over 2.5 years and it'll be sad to see it go. These shots were taken a few months ago and since I've sort of converted it over to a growout for a bunch of frags I collected for the next tank along with some of the corals I'd like to transfer over.
