Hitchhiker Starfish ID Please |

A little while ago, I posted of an unknown starfish hitchhiker. So far, it has stayed where I first found it, in a small crevisce within a colony of Xenia. Now I just got my USB Flash reader so here are the best shots I could get of it, using a 3X magnifier on an out of date Kodak DC3200 1.0 MegaPixel Cam. So far I think I can count 6 different legs.

Those are just mini brittle stars, good guys...
That or they are the gigantic miniature octopi

Thanks for the ID Rick and Rocky.
Funny thing is it never seems to move anywhere. I can never get a glimpse of its central disc, just the arms waving. Oh those are Xenia polyps, but not the pulsing ones. -Elmo ![]() |

Take a look in your tank with a flashlight during the night. You may see a hundred of those small brittle stars. I never saw them during the day, but at night they crawled all over the LR.
