This is great! While I did not notice a lot of visible life, I have no doubt that it is alive. And It does not smell like rotting sewage like PA's Rock Pool Crude did.
I also got a small bag of grape caulerpa. I did not order this and had no idea it was coming. I did not even let Scott know that I wanted this species of algae. Thank you Scott! Wow, I could have written that post. I just got my live sand today too. It looks great and the color is good. I too got the grape caulerpa and was doubly pleased as I had been looking around for some but probably wasn't going to buy any because of having to pay through the nose for shipping.
Yeah!!! |

I got five pounds.
As far as shipping goes, I really have no idea. I forget to get a price from Scott. It was packed so it could withstand an atomic bomb blast from ground zero. Someone from FedEx could have kicked the package from Kentucky to Texas and the bags would have held up. Overall, I am very pleased. Actually, that is exactly where it is going.
Scott just e-mailed me. The total cost was $27.00. I cannot believe I forgot to ask. My sand bed in the tank and refugium are both of Southdown sand. You could not tell the difference when I added the live sand. ------------------ How come when you talk to God it is called prayer, but when God talks to you it is called schizophrenia? |
