Check out some of our members pages, this could give you some great ideas

http://www.reefland.com/members.php?s=

Also you can check out the gallery which is categorized Full Tanks & Best of the Best might be a good place to check out some aquascaping ideas. It really has alot to do with what type of rock your going to get, if your gonna have a SB (Sandbed) or DSB (Deep Sand Bed), some people use PVC supports to raise their rock so it wont be buried in the SB and some use just base rock (since its cheaper) on the bottom then LR ontop of that.

Here is a very nicely aquascaped tank

Hi Beefs & Fishkadelik
Feel free to post some pics for us of yourselves or your tanks...or heck even both And welcome to Reefland!

New to the board.....little about me.

Hey whats up all I am new to this board and thought I would say hello, My reefname is marine_freak but my real name is Shawn. I have been cultivating reef tanks for approx. 12 yrs now. My new creation is a self made 400 gallon tank that I fabricated on my own it is one heck of a beast, 3000 plus watts of light, over 7500 gallons of water turn over every hour.... it will certainly be a reef crest or fore reef slope putting plenty of sps and lps corals into the mix. I will be stopping in to say hi from time to time when my job allows me...... I am 34 years old and a physician assistant, in a local hospital. thanks for the thread and I am sure I will talk to you all soon.

Hi all

My name is Mary, screen name mmaggicc. I live in Cape Coral Florida and started my 72 gal bowfront aquarium in October of 2002. It's been a great experience. The aquarium was my husband's idea but I have really adopted this as my hobby aka addiction.
I love the Aquarium Log ! Thanks
Nice to be here. Mary

Hey all, another new guy here! I was in to freshwater planted tanks for a number of years, but had to get out for awhile because of work and other commitments. Decided its time to get back in and this time I want to try my hand at saltwater.

Presently setting up a 20gal FOWLR. Just water, sand, a little LR and a small cleanup crew for now. Will be adding a Super Skimmer this next week and plan on picking up the rest of my LR in 2 - 3 weeks. Tank has been through one cycle and will probably go through another when I add the rest of the LR. Just taking my time, learning as I go. Looking at adding a 10gal sump at some point. Livestock will end up being a couple of clowns and maybe one other small fish, and will probably add a few corals when I feel that I, and the tank, are ready.

Using this tank as a learning tool, keeping mistakes to a minimum thanks to great sites like this one, in preparation of a much larger reef tank down the road sometime.

Anyway, This looks to be a great site and I'm looking forward to interacting with you all and hopefully making some positive contributions as well as learning as much as I can.
