Wink Hi from a limey Newbie

I'm Marc, 43 (I had a long paper round)!

Three girls from 12 to 2, wife, female cat, female cockatiel: oestrogen overload in this house! (Another reason I look older)

Kept fish for yonks (UK slang for a long time) since pre-teen and then gave up for more pressing hobbies like motorcycles. Only just re-kindled my love after the "she who must be obeyed" saw a marine FOWLR tank at a friends...

Poor unfortunate Soul

You poor poor man...estrogen has been proven to shorten lifespan!! But you have started one of the first modes of therapy: counteract estrogen by producing and amplifying inherent testosterone-a.k.a. the harley davidson regimen!!!

if you look at a few pages earlier you can see that you can also do this by wearing cowboy hats too!

nice to meet-ya

Marc,

Speaking of estrogen, I have three granddaughters, and wife, daughter and one of the granddaughters lives with us...I can't counter it with anything other than my reeftanks hobby.

Doesn't matter how much you have been reading , until you take the plunge. You don't know as much as you think.

Hi Jamie and Gene - I really must figure out why my forum subscriptions don't work... Um. The wife is getting to be a real drag now - patience is NOT one of here better attributes... Oh dear.

Hi Marc,

There is something with the software and Scott is working on it...In the meantime, when you making the post to a thread make sure to scroll down the page when you are finished with your post and check in the "additional options" section if notification options window reads "instant email notification". If it reads "Do not subscribe" simply change it to "Instant email notification" in the drop down menu. It should help at least for now( that is what I do as it works quite sporadically otherwise).Like I said, Scott is trying hard to figure out why this is happening and fix this problem.

HTH.

Cheers Gene. I expected as much (I support a couple of smaller websites, so I'm aware of the problems you can run into). Don't sweat it. I can't get away from the machine without checking back into Reefland! I'm an information guzzler - and just off to find that list of articles by Steven Pro; so far he's provided me with some valuable points (as have many others, Ninong and Poseiden to name a couple. Fab site this!)

intro

My "other" really expensive hobby!

I'm not quite sure how to post "in message" photos on this forum, so I put it as an 'attachment' -

I'm brand new to this forum, relatively new to reefs, kind of old in most other things.
