Don't worry about not having much in the tank. I like that you starting out with the quarantine tank set up already. The best addition you can possibly have. If you are patient and take it slowly your tank will grow and grow with time.

    Good luck!
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

Real name is Charles but go by Charlie or Chas.
For fun I like to fish. (I have a 16ft fishing boat with a 20hp on it I drag around to local lakes. Too small for lake Erie.) I'm an avid golfer and can still tag it as far as I could when I was 20. Now it just hurts when I do that. As you can see from the pics my adrenalin rush is motorcycles. Been riding those things since I was a kid. The bikes are a Harley Road King, a Yamaha FJR1300, and a Husqvarna 510 SuperMoto. Sold the Husky this past summer as my age for that kind of riding is coming to an end. Plus my insurance company wanted no part of any more track days. (I'm a partner/shareholder in an accounting firm with about 120 employees that I need to be responsible to. And stay alive for.)

Still single and enjoying it. (Tried the marrige thing in the early ninties......not so good)

    Well...there ya go.

One of the guys that rides with us in the summer is 83 years old and is a good rider. So I'm not done yet. It's just the racing thing that had to be tamed. When you think too much on the track the young guys go flying by ya.

Hi All really sorry for posting here but I am trying to work out how to start a thread, is there a help section?

I have started a new 10gal 3 weeks ago and was hoping to upload some photos later, or possibly tomorrow as wc match is on tonght! I am hoping someone will be able to identify some stuff in my tank for me. I bought my l/r and corals from a 2nd hand advert and hence I am not sure what I have and that makes it quite hard to find out how to care for some of the stuff in there!

Sorry again total novice with this website as I have only just joined and am new to sw too, had mine running 3 weeks, although have had fw for 7-8 years this is proving to be very different!

    Hi Ted,

Welcome to reeflands, starting a thread is done the same way you did this, just go to the reef tank section and click on start a new thread, at the bottom of the dialogue box you will see a tab call Manage Attachments click on it and select the pics you want to upload, then click upload, piece of cake

    Again welcome to reeflands.
    Tanks,
    Robert

Real name : John (big stretch from the handle i know)
They call me Johnny Bobber (bigger stretch)
    I am 27 years old
Custom motorcycle builder hot rod restorer by trade
I've just comendeered a 200 gallon mess from my girlfriend who lost interest in the upkeep of the tank about a year ago (other than feeding and keeping the water level to the skimmer)

I joined the board here to see if i can salvage anything and after doing a 50% water change the other day i think i may be able to find hope in this thing yet.

im still in the process of getting all of the info from her as far as lighting and pump specs and all that but she started the tank a few years ago and like i said, she lost interest so must have cleared that info from her head to make room for new memories.
