Slowly but Surely

Well today I received another component to my upcoming SPS/Clam tank; a MAG 18. Slowly but surely the pieces are coming together and I am really excited (thanks for all your support baby )! This leaves me with my next question, what kind of skimmer? I have thought of an AquaC Urchin Pro but just not sure. The tank is going to be around ~75gal with a 10-15gal sump so the Urchin Pro my be a little small. I want to get something that is going to be plenty for the system without taking plenty from the pocket.

Any thoughts would be helpful,
Scott Z.

I have a euro reef skimmer and it is great! Pulls put stuff daily. It was out of the box ready to use. This is a well made product to. The base is grooved si the skiimer body sits in it and not on it making it stronger. I highly recommend this skimmer to you.

Scott

Good to see you again. I have a GEO skimmer and dont think I would trade it for anything. I really like it. It is fed with a Mag 12 and puts out the stinky stuff. I would recomend that you get in touch with George and see what he has available.

I gotta know what this was all about

Scott I would probably let Geo build me a skimmer, as Jeff mentioned

Well I figured that my best friend and soon to be wife would eventually read this thread and I wanted her to know that her support during this endevour is appreciated. She seems to be looking forward to it too!

I'll contact George to get his input. Where did you get your euro reef at mrok?

CPR SR6

Currently I use a CPR SR4 which is one of the best skimmers for a drop in sump skimmer (plug n play). My tank is a 55 gallon with sump holding about 15 gallons of water. For your tank I would go with the SR6 which is a little larger and should work well.

To find out pricing and what they look like go to http://www.cprusa.com/products/skimmers.html
