Hi all! My tank is ready enough for me to seed the sand bed. I was wondering how much live sand you folks think I should get? It is a 75 gallon and I have all of my very alive sand from my 10 gallon to bring over. There is about 3 inches of it. I was thinking of candybass.com or reefland for the livesand. Thanks in advance!

Joanne,
I would put in 4-5" of dead sand (Home Depot southdown or CaribSea Aragamax or similar) Then spread the sand from your 10 gal on top of that. IMO, that should be enough. You could also try to get a hand full of sand from fellow reefers in the area. The more sand you get from different tanks the more kinds of life you will have...... Mark |

Boy isn't it nice to have Link back!
![]() I would say the sand from your 10g will seed it nicely. From there anything else you add is for diversity as golfish mentioned. Regards, Scott |
