Check These Babies Out

Here is a picture of my clams that are shipping out tonight. The biggest one is a Solomon Island squamosa about 4". I've never seen such a unique looking squamosa. I just had to have him.

a beuat for sure!! i want one!!k question on color.... clams look their most intense viewed from up above but what is the typical coloration of the clam when viewed from the front of the tank? is the intense blue in the blue maximas as apparent from the front as from the side? i had a crocea that was tourquois when viewed from above but blue/purple to brown when viewed from the front.

its because if you have a glass aquarium...the glass puts some sort of tint to the coloration of the clam.

no, it doesn't have to do with the glass but with the clam's mantle itself. certain pigments within the mantle reflect light differently from various angles. maybe some of our experts here could explain it better.
