Wow nvert nice clam! I got an email last night form East Coast, about there big sale. I looked at the prices wowowowow! I have never seen such big clams for low prices. But I was hesitant to buy. Did you(NVERT) have a good experience from East Coast Clams? Would you reccomend them after you bought? Thanks for any info, I am pretty sure I am gonna buy one today. Unlisted

hi unlisted,
i am VERY happy with my clam from eastcoastclams.com. rob sent me an email inquiring about the clam too and he is running a sweet deal on his stock. the crocea is tons more colorful than the pic i posted above. i can't wait to add more but i'm going to let the guy settle in and then shop for a maxima and squamosa. good luck!

Well I finally got around to getting a picture of my new clam from Rob, at East Coast Clams! It is about 3.5" electric crocea. I only paid $50.00 and that included box charges! What a deal. Just wanted to share and thank nvert for his referral, and Rob at East Coast for doing a great job from clam, to packing, to website, and especially prices.

Yeah I was surprised to see no box charges at all. If you look at his site, under shipping it is for his grand opening special. I chatted with Rob, several times and he is thinking of keeping no boxes charges at all ever. Rob I hope you do. Box charges suck! Unlisted

That is a beautiful Clam!

Just FYI, in case you haven't noticed, ClamsDirect is also offering free boxes to RL members!

Well, all I will say is that after doing business with Barry it is very difficult to consider buying from somewhere else. East Coast appears to be a great vendor with great prices, it's just hard to switch from ClamsDirect when I've been extremely happy. So I feel I would rather spend more, already knowing that I'm going to be comletely happy with my order.

It's good to know that there are choices for all of us. I'm sticking with ClamsDirect for two main reasons. Barry offers a 24 hour gaurantee and he hand picks all of his clams. I have yet to recieve one (out of my 9) that didn't look even better than I expected. I don't know what the competition does but I do know that Barry quarantines his clams for at least 7 days prior to making them for sale. That gives me piece of mind. I wish good luck to everyone buying clams, but you don't need luck if you buy from ClamsDirect.

I ditto, everything CC and Steve just said. I would never worry about anything from Barry. Geeze, he sent me a pic of them prior to shipping via email. Atleast I know the box is going to hold up from Barry's to me and it isn't a recycled box.

Sue T. are you implying that east coast uses recylced boxes? Geez i am not trying to start a war, but c'mon if you are happy with one vendor over another that is fine. If I am happy with a different one that should be fine also. I am sure nvert would agree that there was nothing cut short in packing and east coast's boxes were brand new and very well made.

I thought I could come here and share, and not be beaten up about my choices. I am sorry if I offended anyone here.

I am shocked at how you(Sue) would say something like that about someone you have never done business with!!!!!!

I will keep my feelings and experiences about good deals and my opinions to myself. Good luck, getting new people interested here!!!!!!!!!!

Relax, I don't think anyone here is trying to beat up on you. We're all just sharing our own opinions too. I don't see where anyone said East Coast is using recycled boxes.
