My 175s are running wahooo

Well I got the bulbs and I turned em all on. I all need now is to cut a hole in my hood and install them. I'll post pics of the diy and the effect on the tank likely tomorow evening.



Looks like your outa luck kate I like em plenty.

As for the final cost

Two 175 watt ballasts $76
Two 3 month old Bulbs $50
Two Moguls $12
Some scrap aluminum $00
A dead 286 Computer $00
Some Diy and TLC $00

Way brighter tank
that can house corals

PRICELESS

Well almost 138 Canadian
about 56.33 GBP or 87.36 USD

Pretty good for a dual 175

The Computer was gutted andused as power supply for some cheap DC computer case fans to cool the lights and to house the ballasts. It was really a perfect combonation.

Too bad you couldn't keep the motherboard and a drive and set it up as a Timer for the lights and everything.
