Limited Edition acropora frags

I just recieved Steve Tyree's new Limited Edition frags this morning and they are so awesome. I got one of the acropora clathrata, acropora jacquelineae, and the acropora loisettae. I have never seen the first two even offered anywhere and they are something to see. I wish I had a camera to show you how nice they are. They came mounted and each bag had several mini-stars. I don't think Steve charged for those. These are found on his reeffarmers site.

Uel, Thanks much for the kind words. Steve's website for these particular frags is www.reeffarmers.com He is only selling these 1-2 per month per species. I was very lucky to have been the only person to contact him about them after he sent out the availability of them. I think you email him through this site. Atleast I did.

Looking into the research of these particular acropora frags in the Coral of The World book I thought the acropora clathrata would be too much like the acropora solitaryensis, but it isn't. Seeing them in person they are so different. Steve said the clathrata is brittle when trying to frag it but it mounted easily and is a beautiful frag. I am really impressed with the acropora jacquelineae. Tubular branches with delicate polyps on the tips of each branch. The stag{acropora loisettae} is awesome too.

Mike, I hope you got on the waiting list then.

SueT:

One question ... how do they evaluate who gets on the waiting list? Do they check your expertise, current status of your tank etc.?

Thanks.
