Talking Can't Wait to Get First Clams!

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I've posted on a board... but, I'm so excited about our new clams (coming Tuesday) that I just had to tell you all! I mean, who better to tell than fellow clam lovers, right?

I've wanted clams for about 3 years now, but was afraid to try them because we have PC's, and not MH's. Well, thanks to the posts of all of you in this forum, and after talking with a distributer I find that I CAN keep a clam in our system.

I AM SOOO PSYCHED! So much so that instead of just my "birthday clam," we ordered 3!!! I'll post pics once they've arrived and acclimated if you all would like to see them. Wish us luck!

Thanks for visiting this thread you all... and for the all the great education/information in this forum!

Connie

Hi ConnieH!

I know you must be excited. I can't wait until I get my tank up and running and able to put some clams in. There sure have been some beauties going around lately and I am dying to get into the scene. Be sure to post your pics when you get them on Tuesday!

Regards,
Scott Z.

P.S. I am glad you found our Clam Forum helpful. I think the new forums have been a welcome addition.

Hi Scott,
Oh yeah... I'm excited! Only about 24 hours left to go. I've read everything I can find, and then REread it again so I think we're ready.

I agree on the beautiful photos. The ones posted on this board are so incredible, it's what really spurred me on to find out more about the Squamosa. I know you will be happy to get up and running, Scott. It must be torture for you looking at all this eye candy!

I used one of the sponsors on this site, so would like to thank you for the referral too.

Here's the photo that really got me hooked. I'm not sure who is the proud owner of these clams, but I would love to get my hands on a Squamosa that looks like this one. Absolutely incredible!!!

Folks this is NOT my clams, but 2 thumbs up to the owner!

NOT LONG NOW...

Here's my birthday clam, our first... he's a Soloman Island Squamosa just before he left CA Monday night. I hope by lunchtime he's looking this happy in OUR tank.

He kinda looks like a hot-fudge sundae to me!

Counting down the hours...

One More

...and here's the Marshall Island T. Squamosa. At 4.5", he's about an inch or so larger than the S.I. Squam above.

I'll post a pic of all three (including the T. Deresa) when they get here.
