Marine Life Aquatics
I have ordered a Marine Life Aquatics/150 Calcium Reactor last Thursday and should get it this week some time. Can I run regular RO water (no salt) through the reactor as a top off, or do I have to use water from my system to do so? I was planning on not dosing Kalk anymore. Would a Reef Filler dosing pump be a good choice for pumping water into the Calcium reactor?

most people have them dripping effluent into there sump as a direct feed to the Tank. i have never heard of anyone dripping the effluent from a Ca Reactor into there topoff water. |

Just use a small powerhead like a maxi-jet 900 or 1200 to feed the reactor tank water- I think you're getting a Ca reactor and a kalk reactor confused- the Nilsen kalk reactor uses CaOH and RO/DI water to top off the water, whereas the Ca reactor uses tank water and CO2 to dissolve aragonite...
