    It's Up! It's Huge!!!

Yep, the new website is FINALLY up and running. A couple words of warning though: Do NOT attempt to download this site via dial-up unless you either have lot's of time or you're going on vacation. Also, I think it's best viewed in installments as it's got lots of pictures, lots of words, and lot's of sections with even more pictures and words. Otherwise, have fun and please let me know what you think. Thanks.

Beautiful tank! Your website is one of the neatest I have ever seen. I really like the growth section. I will agree about the time to load though. Thank god I have a T-1.

    Very, very nice!

Didn't take any time at all to download on broadband. I may be doing something wrong because I can't seem to get the "really large" tank pics to be really large. I can't seem to expand the pop up window. I have to scroll left to right to view it in the window and my 19" FP monitor is set for its native resolution of 1280 x 1024, so I was hoping for something really large.

That's a very neat equipment room.

    Thanks,
    Ninong

Pretty cool. I actually bookmarked your site for when I have more tme. Thankfully I have a really fast 'puter and cable modem so downloads are almost instant. Your tank and web site are super-duper.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions, but it's the thought that counts.

    Holy Cow!

Beautiful web site and photographs! The viewing room is gorgeous.

You mention that Reef Systems installed the tank.....did they also design your water circulation scheme, or did you do that yourself?

One typo on the "Viewing Room" page, after the "Pix" link to the New Guinea fighting knives, "which" is spelled "hich." Not being picky, but I'd guess you'd want to know, given the high quality of your web site.

    Great tank!

PS: the Sohal Tang is one of the most beautiful specimens I've ever seen. Don't worry....I'm not one of the Tang "Nazis" one encounters on these boards.

I think even the tang nazis will approve. It's a 500 gallon tank!

Not yet. As you can see, I take my time with new purchases. The problem with this time of year (for me) is that it's photographically 'Prime Time' and therefore I travel a lot. Just got back from New Hampshire last week, for instance. Will be off on another short excursion soon. And though I've got total (well, a lot of) confidence in the people who maintain the tank in my absences, I always like to be around for awhile when I add something new. Fortunately, I have seen orange/red Lobos offered through the usual MO places with slightly more frequency now and it's still one of my front runners. Just waiting for things to calm down a bit.

    Mike,

    Color me Green with envy...

First of all, I want your Sohal. He is beautiful. Send any of the "Tang Police" my way. ... I'll send them "swimming with the fishes"

Second of all, here's a link to your wrasse. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/marine/fi...brus/index.htm

He's a linneatus wrasse. Marine center has recently had them on their weekly specials.

I bookmarked your site, too (only got through the tangs, wrasses, anthias and your inverts). !!

And your kole-ish tang is way cool, too. I am looking for a link that may be him... (can never find them when you need them).

    You should give tours!

    Rienhold:

"You mention that Reef Systems installed the tank.....did they also design your water circulation scheme, or did you do that yourself?"

Sorry it took so long to reply. Somehow I must've missed the question. Originally Reef Systems designed the circulation system but since this was only supposed to be a "LPS/Softie" tank, the only circulation system I had was the main one to the sump. As the "SPS" bug hit and I gleaned more information about them from books and boards such as this one, I began to add more peripheral equipment which, in turn, caused me to jerry-rig the systems into what they are today. So to answer your question, it was both of us. They did the neat pre-planned job and I did all the crazy "aftermarket" stuff.
