Sure! Here you go: ![]() ![]() ![]() Long story about my tank.... Short story - Ran into a problem with using an alcohol-based paint primer (like shellac) in my house. Really screwed up my tanks. Luckily I was able to save a few frags of this one. Lost a dozen or more corals because of the problem. Now I'm growing them again ....Should be ready after a few more months to trade.... mgk

mgk65, Sorry to hear about your losses. Was the problem from the fumes of the primer? How did you ventilate the room when primering? Scott Z. |

Yes, that is what I came to believe after the 2nd time it happened. ![]() Initially, although farfetched, I thought that my tank had a bacterial infection due to some frags I received in trade. Very wierd stuff; clear gelatinous goo covering the macroalgae and the corals were sliming.The first time, I did not put the two together ... as we've painted before with acrylic paint without incident. No, the biggest mistake was not ventilating. I'm not sure if that would have done much good. The alcohol fumes were very volatile so they went in the water easily. mgk
