i am gonna re-do my plumbing from flexible hose to flex PVC...
i will turn off my return pump and spend a couple hours on the project...(should take 2-3 hours)...replacing all BHs and plumbing to a new refugium and the sump... is this enough time for all the PVC primer and cement to cure?...i know that cure times on most cements is a few minutes to setup then a couple hours to cure, but not totally cured for 24 hours or so...?? obviously the tank can only go so long without good circulation (i can add a couple PHs to the tank to keep things movin')... thanks brad |

I have done several plumbing modifications without ill effects. I let the glue and primer dry 1 hour only before restarting the system.

After it sets overnight (until smell disappears) run a bag of carbon for a day or so just to make sure and you wont have any problems.
