My tank after 17 months

I thought I would post an updated picture. The tank is full and I'm starting to place some of the SPS on the sandbed I thought it would take longer to fill.
How am I going to convince my wife I need a larger tank? Think, think, think....

Regards,
Kevin

Kevin,

That tank keeps getting better and better looking each time I see it ... I am enjoying watching your progress on it

How's that sump working out for you?

Thanks all

Chuck,
The sump is great. It makes the perfect place to acclimate those delicate fish and get them eating. I have a P. ventralis in there now. Here is a recent picture. The coraline has gone crazy.

Regards,
Kevin

Looks great Kevin ... I am liking how your tank is coming along. I remember you mentioning that the large colony you sold to Eric didn't make it, that's too bad ... any reason why???

Chuck,
The LFS guys were leaving for Seattle at 5 AM so I took the coral in the night before in a 200 gal salt bucket. They got to Eric's about noon the next day. I think this was too long for such a large coral in that volume of water (it was the size of a volleyball). I have 2 small frags I kept but it will be at least a couple of years before they get to that size again .

Regards,
Kevin

Great pictures and a gorgeous tank!

What type of skimmer are you running?

Mangrove,
I'm using a couple of 2 year old 95W URI 50/50 bulbs.

rededteck,
My skimmer is a ETTS Gemini 800 powered by a Iwaki MD55RLT. I like it very much, I just wish I would have gotten the Quad 1800 model as I have the tank heavily stocked now.

Regards,
Kevin
