I took this picture looking in the end of my tank today. I thought it looked cool. Sorry about the large file size but when I reduce it anymore you lose the size scale. The area you are viewing is about 3.5' wide and 4' long.
I hope it's worth the download time. Kevin

Matt,
Yesterday UPS came (how I love the sound of those squealing brakes in the drive ) and I received a Radium 20,000K bulb and mounted it side by side to a Ushio 10,000K bulb. They are both 400W'ers. The color blends perfectly. The only problem is the other end of the tank looks horrible now as it is lit by a Ushio 10,000K with actinics only . Now I need to get another 20,000K bulb and ballast. It's a 550 plus 95 gal sump/refugium. Chuck, We'll see who gets a bigger tank first How's the frag of this one doing. The colony really colored up under the 400W'ers.Kevin

Kevin,
It looks " awfull " Chuck is right, you'll have to bring that hatchet soon to get in the tank. Seriously though, spectacular tank and to think that it's 550g and you're running out of room already.

The tank is looking awesome kevin. I rember when you first setting it up and figured you would fill it full or corals for a few years till it got packed.

I thought the same thing. I didn't realize how fast these things can grow. The tiny frags seem to take a long time (1 year) to really get going. It seems to me that when they get about the size of a lemon the growth explodes. My prevoius tank had much lower flow and light. Even the larger corals grew much slower then. Now I'm starting to set corals on the sand bed. I've decided to start concentrating on acquiring clams by trading frags for credit at the LFS (if only they would get some nice ones).
Regards, Kevin

Im headed your way with fraggin pliers in hand. You have way way too many big corals in ther they need fraggin.
