Looking for quality acrylic aquarium makers in the eastern US that will customize for larger top openings-eurostlye bracing etc. Would Tenecor do this? Most of the top openings are too small making cleaning and aquascaping difficult.

My tank was purchased from Aquamark aquariums out of Columbus, OH. I have no issues getting in and out of the tank.
I am sure Tenecor would do anything you wanted for a price and they are very reputable.

In an answer to your question.
There are pro's and con's to owning acrylic.
Acrylic is lighter, glass is heavier
Acrylic is more delicate when cleaning, glass is easier using razors
Acrylic is supposed to be clearer than glass, I understand starfire glass is very nice But I have never compared the two.
Weight was my issue when purchasing acrylic. My 220 gallon setup took only 2 people to move.
If I was creating a new reef and I would be setting the base on concrete, I would purchase a glass tank. I have not found a great tool to clean acrylic easily.
Again, the weight of a large glass tank is a big deal.
I hope this helps, ask more questions if you have them.
Happy Holidays.
