Skimmer Problem

I have an AquaC EV 150 skimmer on my 100 gallon reef tank, which sits in the sump behind the main tank. For the past few days, its been pumping a huge amount of foam out at a very fast rate. The cup basically fills in 2 minutes max, with a very thick, but white foam, and then turns to clear water once the foam fills the cup. What shall I do? Thanks.

I think the best thing to do is to shoot an e-mail to Jason Kim over at AquaC describing your problem.

I believe he can be reached at:
sales@proteinskimmer.com

From what I understand he is very responsive.

Are you dosing garlic or other additives? I know we have problems with our skimmer overflowing when we add too much liquid garlic to our foods.

Just a thought...

adding just about any chemical will put a skimmer into overdrive.
not sure how yours works, but is it possible to turn the air intake down?
