1 of my clams died over night, it was fine when I went to bed the last thing I seen it do was open and close several times in a row then I turned off the lights. woke up this morning and turned on the tank lights did the once over to make sure nothing was wrong and found the clam mental pulled into the shell. I took the clam out and did the smell test, to my surprise it did not smell so I returned it to the water, and waited for all the lights to come on. 4 hours later it was not reacting to light or movement so I took it out and baged it. at this time I'm at a lose for what happened.all paremeters are fine all other clams are also fine (knock on wood

sorry about your loss. it's a shame to loose a clam, especially as mysteriously as you describe.

I had the clam for about 3 months every thing else looks fine. the other clams show no signs of being sick. |
