Millepora Color Change

Hi all ... I thought I would post a picture of a piece of coral that I have had for about a month now. The first one is when I first got it back in mid November 2002 ... and the second is late December 2002 ... The coral position has stayed on the sandbed the whole time. I don't have any room further up near the light so that is where it will stay for now, but I think I like the new color. A rust/burnt orange/dark red kind of color ... what do you think?

Nov 2002 ...

Dec 2002 ...

I think it looks a little more brown in the most recent pic....but it does appear to be a bit more healthy looking, almost like it was starting to bleach out a bit when you got it on the L. side. Would love to see it if you do ever get a chance to bump it up a little higher maybe a month or so down the road. Sweet little jewel though

Yah, looks kind of brown in the picture, more of a dark rust in person ... but I am sure it will turn out nice, it appears that it will anyway. I will let you know how it turns out.

Chuck,
IMO if you move it towards the top it will turn bright orange with yellow tips. I'm doing a little water change (100 gal) tomorrow and will take a picture of mine after I turn off the pumps.

Regards,
Kevin

Kevin,

I think you are right, I just wish I had a spot way up high to put the darn thing.

Planning on joining us for this month's meeting at Paul's?
