I know some of us are using X10 modules for task automation. In preparation for an X10 presentation to our fledgling reef club, I wanted to ask others what they use their modules for.
In our system, we use X10 to control two IceCap ballasts, hood fans, and I wrote a macro series for a dimmer module to simulate a moon cycle. If you use X10, what do you use yours for? Thanks, Doug

My tank isn't quite setup yet... but i'm using a dedicated computer for the tank with this nifty little program to control my lights, moonlighting, and possibly 1 or 2 sea swirls in the future.

Chris,
Your tank progress is looking good! I haven't hit your site in a few months, but I wanted to complement you on your website. It’s very nice! I’ve looked at Bill’s stuff before. I like the moon cycle java script but haven’t dedicated a computer to our tank yet. We currently just transfer the programs and macros so they are resident in the modules. Let us know when you get up and running, Doug

Thanks Doug!
My tank would actually be ready to go but the way I setup my plumbing didn't go so well... so I'm working on redesigning it. I planned on redoing it and having it ready to go at the end of December but I've been busy working on our MAAST website so it's taken all my free time away. Another week and our group site will be finished, and hopefully for sure at the end of January i'll have it all ready to go. I've got almost 250 lbs of base rock in my living room right now just waiting for me to do some aquascaping. ![]() |
