Exclamation 220 Gals On Floor

I know this is a bit off topic but I must stress Do not put tanks near your window! No it isnt the Algea thats not a big problem. Last night a friend lost his precious Reef tank, 220 gallons i think, to a drive by shooting. He lives in a very nice neighborhood but they think it was Joy Riders from the oposing school. He saved ALL of his animals except a yellow tank =(.Insurance or sumthin is covering the equipment. But he has to get his HARDWOOD floors done also =/ .... But 3 9mm Bullet holes through the back of his tank says it all. 220 Gallons on the floor and Some Live rock boken. Just though id say try to put all your loved animals toward the back of your house. he and his family are ok! He is geting his new 300 CUSTOM now LOL... OOOhhhh more room for us to set up, Ill talk them into getting some more advanced Corals now! He is getting new halides to, and i get the old ones! The only thing he is reallllly up set about is his tank going to have to recycle (and his mom is upset about the floors hahaha)=/ .... Well Just thought i would warn you about the cautions of putting the tank near the window. Sorry no pix... (o all of his animals are in his 125 FOWLR.

Happy REEFIN yeeee haw

That's unreal!!! Sorry to hear about that, it's just a good thing that insurance is covering equipment and the flooring...

That is sad. I wonder if the shooter saw the tank and thought it would be funny to shoot it? Tell your friend best of luck. If he wants he can set the new tank up at my place, no one near to drive by and shoot it. I'm a cop and will guard it personally.LOL
