I'd recommend a Mag Drive 5 pump for the Remora skimmer.

Looks pretty good, I havent owned a remora so I would heed Reinholds suggestion. Also wanted to ask are you planning on just one 175MH? thats fine, since you are just going LPS and softies but the length spread might be a problem, you thought about using just VHO's or maybe adding a couple to your setup? maybe even power compacts? I would put a little more flow in there like maybe 3 MJ1200's and probably put them on a wavestrip especially if you want torch or frogspawns cuz they like that alternating flow

I had a 58 a while back with a backpack skimmer, 250 65K halide,2x96 pc retro, 3 powerheads think where 2-1200's and a 900, DSP. Think that was it.
The single halide with the dual pc lights lit the tank perfectly.
Also used the same light setup and 90 (36x24x24) that worked just as well.
If yould get a reef ready tank the sump would be alot better. That is why I took down my 58 because I could never the surface clean and got tired of the all the power heads skimmer and heater to look at.

Thanks for the reply everyone i thought about the mag for the skimmer but i dont want that big of pump sitting in the tank yes i am using just the one halide for now i will probably add another halide and som actinic later later i just wanted the main stuff to get me started. I really wish i could have a sump but space just doesnt allow for it at this point in time i have had with and with out sump on previous tanks and i ussually got over the things in the tank i try to hide as much behind the rocks as possible i might not go with the Power heads though i could just run a closed loop with a sea swirl or somethin like that then all i would have is a PVC line in the tank with the heater and skimmer pump all can easly be hidden and i can put the surface skimmer thing on the skimmer and it would just look like a overflow box so let me know what you think about these ideas thanks.
