    what kind of snails?

Like I said in my previous post, my 55 gal reef is teeming with pods. And when I look in at night there are hundreds of tiny snails, the larger ones are about half the size of a pea. They are whitish with broken brown stripes. They cover some rocks and glass, especially the back wall where I don't clean. Also, I don't see many on the rocks that have a lot of algae--I don't know if that means anything. I don't see them at all during the day.

I'm curious as to what kind of snails these are. I hope they're not harmful, as there are way too many to irradicate without vastly disturbing the whole system.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions, but it's the thought that counts.

im not sure what they are called -but they are quite common and some of the best algea control you can have. they multiply prolfifically.

as a general rule-if its on the glass its probably an algea eater.

hmm other than some flatworms -and ive had nudibranches show up that werent and hmmm- well maybe not all the time but it works for me
