How this sound for a closed loop

I decided on a 60x24x21 setup for my tank.
I will be running a mag7 for sump.
I think I will be using a amp master 3000 for a closed loop.
It would feed 4 out lets with 2 out lets on each side of the tank facing each other putting out around 600+ gph each with around 9' of head if their head charts are right.
If those SCWD come out with a 1" I might incorporate it into the closed loop latter if plausible.

OH Yeah....Ok the SQUID, thats the one that Lunchbucket is testing out....everyone has their eye on that nifty little gadget, My concern is especially with a SPS tank all the calcium that we feed our tanks that over time the small turbines will get calcified and slow down/quit effeciency of these models, but I think those SCWD's definately have some potential.

Now about your loop, your pumps sound fine. If you are gonna go w/4 outlets then I would consider using one of these manifolds from Dolphin

you would just have to cap/valve the unused ports, as long as you did it evenly it would balance your manifold. You would have to go w/multiples of two ports. You could also make your own manifold (easy) and if you where to go that route I would make each port atleast 1" and if you where really concerned about head loss you could go 1.25" or even 1.5", but I think w/4 ports that 1" would be effecient enough.

Another option I though of last night was just running 2 out lets and using a 1.5" side outlet 90's one on each side of the tank faceing the middle.
That way the water would would shoot out to the front and back of the tank from each side hitting in the middle of the front and back and swirling all over.
I attached pic of both ideas.
Also for the drain for the 3000 would single 2" drain be good or would a single 1.5 drain with a "T" in side the tank with 2 sreens be better.

another idea

Another idea is you can run a closed loop with a 1 1/2" returned to 2 one inch sea swirls. Its alot less plumping, just run an 1 1/2" feed in to a 1 1/2" "T" then up to your corners. Reduce to 1" then sea swirls. I was going to have many returns from my amp 3000 back into my 300 reef, but add up all the plumping parts , lockline, unions, valves, and the add a reeftec to break up the water movement. Add it all up and your over $200.00 not counting your time. Two sea swrils a Marine depot is about $163.00 if you buy 2 or more. Just a thought.....
