Eduardo,
Oi bemvindo to Reefland! Your clam looks muito bom to me ![]() What city are you from? I was working in Campinas from 12/00 - 7/02 I almost moved there. I spent a lot of time at the beach near Ubatuba, Praia Grande to be exact .Saludos, Kevin

I haven't been there but I hear it's one of the nicest places in Brasil. Are you able to have a good selection of livestock at the local fish store?

yes, it's very beatiful down here. the beachs are amazing. about the livestock, there a few stores here but you can find lots of fishes and corals from here. unfortunately, many of the corals that are wild collected are not suitable for aquarium care, like some lps ( Scolymia welssi) and some non-fotossintetical gorgonians. the majority of reefkeepers here don't read much about so they buy this corals and they die some months later in their aquas.
the imported animals, like acroporas, clams and others arrive here very expensive. with the money you buy 1 clam, you could have picked 25 royal grammas. ![]()

one doubt:
as you can see in the first pic, the mantle has some brighter regions. is this normal or could be bleaching?

my clam is realising a type of mucus every day. i notice it when i turn on the lights and see some mucus thing near it, in the rock where the clam is. is this normal? the crocea, as you can see in the pics, is extending its mantle normally. it's responsible to light blocking and i've already searched for snails or anything that could stress it at night and found nothing. what do you think?
