Need Italian Crits
Hello all:
I've got what I am guessing are spaghetti worms that have taken over most of my sandy areas and some of my live rock. These nests of thin orange worms, though cool, are just way to numerous. I was wondering if there were any reef safe crits that would eat the spaghetti worms. Tank is a 3 year old 46 gal Bow front of mainly softies. with 192 watts of PC lighting. 10 Gal sump and a remora pro skimmer. Thanks all Delmarr |

A hawkfish would probably eat them but then you would need a good supply of worms and coepods coming from your refugium or he would most likely decimate the existing population.

i would try to sell them. IPSF sells them for a pretty penny. in addition are they hurting anything. if your ecosystem is thriving why bother. removing them may cause more harm than good. with less consumers of waste your system may get out of balance. perhaps try feeding less. they are multiplying because there is an obvious excess of waste. remember checks and balances in nature....

I agree on the hawkfish. You could try a longnose hawk or maybe a dottyback of some kind if your current setup allows.

PM me if you like to talk about that.I Have them and like them alot, but like stated above, my hawk wiped them out from my 110g tank.I have another tank where I like to put them ![]()
