Bleaching coral???

Got a frag a mth back. and recently noticed my bi-colour blenny nipping at this branch....

And it's colour is fading in patches ...



my tank: 2.5ft X 15" X 16"
1 X 150W MH 10000K
1 X 18W actinic FL
Temp: 80F ~81F
NO2 = 0
NO3 = 5
Salinity = 1.021
PH = 8.4
KH = 11

Any help is greatly appreciated

Hi Norco,
Welcome to Reefland!
Im not sure what kind of answers you want but I would try giving him a varied diet so he is less prone to nip on the corals, and if you cant sway him with live brine, or mysid or other foods then maybe put the coral in more current and maybe he wont nip on it so much....just trying to think out loud for ya....good luck

I have removed my bi-colour blenny since the last post.

SPS are recovering well... but i think the damaged has been done.

norco, is this frag as high in the light as you can get it?? If you know where the frag was located in the system before coming to yours it might also help in acclimating this frag. What do you keep your calcium at?? I think removing the blenny will also help in this frag getting back on track for ya.
