Safe Yet?
Dec 15th, FO Tank was wiped out while adding LR by marine velvet. Tank has been empty of fish since. I seem to remember advice on this board or something I read that the die off time for the parasite was 30 to 45 days. Does this sound right. Anyone have a different experience. Also what to use for a sacreficial (sp) lamb. I really don't want to try one of my fishes from my other aquarium. Maybe a dreaded damsel? I guess there is no other way to check if its gone is there?

According to Robert Fenner's website, the minimum recommended time to allow the tank to go fallow is 30-45 days in order to reduce the Amyloodinium ocellatum to a less-virulent stage. Obviously the longer the better. Perhaps you should shoot for 90 days before reintroducing fish.
Good luck,

Thanks Ninong, that's prob where I got the 30-45 days. I forgot it said minimum though. I think I'll heed your advice and wait another 30 days. I'd hate to introduce something like a damsel and end up having to re-fallow for ANOTHER 90 days.
