I had the honor of spending a couple of days with sanjay a couple of weeks ago, and I will tell you that this boy is a true hobbyist at heart! Thanx Sanjay! I really enjoyed the time you spent toting me around!

This is a pic when lites first came on (yellow) but its of a Montipora that he has fragged and put over his tank many times which each piece virtually looks like a different coral

Full tank shot, again lites just came on thus the yellow :P

An AWESOME colored softie that he has cultured many times....I loved this piece!
And of course the only pic I got of the Penn State tank when he took me there and let me view it from above w/all pumps off :eek1: WHAT a treat that was there where multiple different stags with fused growth and some even growing out of the water
Thanks for sharing this Rocky.Great tanks indeed.I just wish I knew you were in the area,I would've love to meet you![]()

Rocky i'm going to bust your balls. Your flyin around looking at tanks and your not putting it into your aquaculture. Shame shame. Just wasting your talent. No just kidding. Lets expand your volume. When are we going to buy are own glass and make tanks? It's so easy. My first salt tank only split twice before I got it right.
LMAO Russ! Lets do it dude!
Sanjay is off his rocker he gave me the down low on alot of stuff, BTW I have some spare glass here I just havent played w/it forever.....but all I need is a fire under my butt!
Guys all kudos go to sanjay on this one! Seriously he is much more than just a light guru.
Gene buddy I would have come to see you if I had time....I was wiggin just driving in that snow![]()
Yea,it was some storm,Rocky.Too bad but I'll be in Florida sooner then laterand I'll come by and say hello;)
Kind regards,
Gene.

Barry,
I think its 500+ here is an article as it was a featured tank in Advanced Aquarist magazine.
http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issu...2/aquarium.htm
One of the nicest things is it uses only 4-400w MH's the trick is he uses the Diamond Lumenarc reflectors which are a much more effecient reflector.....This is one of the next things I will be doing to my 220g I have 5 MHs right now but want to get rid of 2 of them and utilize better reflectors, Barry you really should try some of them....or even Perry at Sunlight Supply has a knockoff of the same thing they are much larger span and multi-faceted, which I believe Sanjay is doing some test on those too.....hehe...Maybe I will stir Perry up to come in here I believe he has some specs I wanted anyway....Cmon DUDE, where are ya
Barry,
If you are asking about the main display tank at Ron's Saltwater Heaven that Sanjay is standing in front of, it's 715 gallons. If you are asking about the Penn State tank, it's 524 gallons.

That is one awesome tank.
Maybe when I retire in a year or 2, that would be a good project.

Barry,
Which tank? The Penn State tank or the main display tank at Ron's Saltwater Heaven.
Ninong
The one at Ron's is so beautiful.
Have always wanted a 500 and that is what I most likely will end up with. A lot of planning goes into a project like that, but it should be fun.

Barry,
OK, but the one at Ron's is actually 715 gallons!
I like the Penn State tank because it has such nice dimensions: 96"L x 42"W x 30"H (524-gal). I think that would be an ideal tank without breaking the bank so to speak.![]()

Ninong
Yes I agree, I do like those dimensions.
There is a person that live here in San Diego that has/had a beautiful 1200 with lighting on moving tracks. He used 2 x 300 sumps. The tank started to come apart so he had to take it down. All that money!!!!!! and livestock![]()

I don't know about Barry but...
Tank itself may not break the bank for me,but buiding a new house for it probably would![]()
It is beautiful tank regardless.

The electric bill in southern ca. would certainly take toll on the pocket book. I am sure the electric company would send me a inventation to their Holiday party. ;)
