A few of my clams

I got hold of a digital camera this weekend and took pictures of a few of my clams. I got better clams but they are at places that are not easy to take good pictures of them.

Nice job with the photos. The final pic of the Blue Crocea, it appears to be sitting on a bed of green polyped something ? What is it?

Thanks

Dave

That particular Crocea is sitting on a bright green plating Montipora sp.

Hi Minh!

That first clam is absolutely beautiful! How long have you had it and where did you find that jewel?

If you need any help getting some pictures posted, just e-mail them to me and I'll be more than happy to help out.

Thanks for sharing,

......
I traded some frags (quite a few) for him. Got him about 6 months ago from 'T&T Fish and Repitiles' in Houston. He is about 3.5 inches. Come attached on a piece of LR. I just put him on the rock instead of on the sand because his is very healthy and growing in the LFS show tank. The color of the picture is not quite right. The edge is more orange than in the picture.

Thumbs up

Minh,

THANKS! I knew the pics would be worth the wait. I agree w Elmo, the second one is cool, but the third one is my favorite. I've never seen one so "golden".

THANKS

That is one of the rarer Derasa patern. I had him since he was about 2-2.5 inches. He is about 8 inches now after 3 years.

Those are some very nice clams. I am wanted to try to keep them but I have heard that they are hard to keep. Our LFS do not seem to stock many and when they do they are so high amd they keep their animals under PC.
