Looking for the cheapest place to get a MAG 12.

Well, I surprised my wife this weekend by building (or mostly building) a stand for my 75 gallon. Over this next week, the doors should come in and I'll be staining everything. She's leaving this weekend (no not for good ) so I'd like to get everything up and running while she's gone. I think it would be a nice surprise for her to come home to a running (although nothing would be in it) tank.

She has been fighting me for the last 15 months on my desire to put together a 'big' (75 gallon) tank, I have a 10g nano now. But I think she now enjoys it, even if she doesn't admit to it (she helped with a water change last night )

Interesting...I have been fighting with my wife for the past year or more about my desire to set up a "big" 75g tank as well. I have a 20g now. She enjoys it too, just thinks that we have more important things to spend spare cash on than a fish tank. I say: Bah, who needs dining room furniture! A cool fish tank, on the other hand, is essential.

Penguin,
I just started buying one $100 item each month. After about 6 months I had everything but the stand. Now I'm just building the stand and it will probably only cost about $225 for a 48x18x40 stand and 48x18x14 canopy. Yes they are taller, but my wife is 5-11 and I'm over 6 foot so we need height.

Yeah, maybe I'll start getting stuff gradually too. Hopefully I'll be able to get the big tank up and running sometime this year.
