i need to know what is the proper temp for a reef tank.i currently have 5 anenome and a variety of corals.

I think you will get a wide range of thought here regarding temp. IMO, I like to keep a reef in the range of 77- 80. JMO Barry |

thanks for the replies and the link.i'm currently running a 250w mh and 2 140w vho's.i will add a 175w mh when i move everything from my 29g to the 125.i have 2 desktop fans to keep the bulbs cool.my house stays 75 deg. yearround.i dont have a chiller and the tank has been staying 74 w/out the lights on and 76 with the lights on.

IMO that is a little cold for a reef tank. I would agree with the rest of the posted replies. I keep my tank in the range of 77-81 deg'. Check out the link it is a good one. But just remember in this hobby (what may work for one my not work for another.) Good luck!
