Question Crab I.D.

Just got this hitchiker on a new piece of L.R. Any ideas?

Im sorry, It is about 1 inch from tip of leg to tip of leg (say that fast)

My guess is it's a porcelain crab... not positive though, I'm no crab expert.

Man, that thing is UGLY!!!!!

It's not a porcelain crab. They are smooth shelled. There's several pictures of porcelain crabs on this web-page:

I really don't know what kind of crab that is. I've searched the 'net most of the morning looking for that hairy monster. But, the sharp claws tell me that it is a predator, not an algae grazer. If it were in my tank, I'd be doing whatever I could to get it OUT!!!
