Q: Do you use activated carbon?

Q: How often and for how long do you use it in your system?

Q: What is your method of employing it? Do you place it in the sump or use a seperate poered filter?

This is a very interesting article I think and should help you deside on how to use it for your application
I personally just place it in the sump,using my wife's old stockings ,but will make a designated chamber for it soon,hopefuly.

I ran carbon in a Magnum 350 canister filter for about one week every month.

Your choice of carbon is very important. Make sure you buy high quality carbon or you'll wind up leaching phosphorus into the tank.
