Sick Scopas?

Hi All!

Well I have some bad news to share. After going through about a week of what appeared to be RTN (1 Acropora spp. and 2 Montipora digita frags effected) I am now having a problem with our Scopas Tang, but this is pretty weird.

First of all, the RTN event appears to be over a luckily we did not loose the entire corals effected, at least not yet. All of the water conditions are tip top shape.

Today, our Scopas tang was acting completly normal, swimming around and doing his business. I left the house for a couple of hours and when I returned, the tang appeared to be paralized. Breathing appears normal, coloration is great he just isn't moving; I was able to touch him and pick him up in the palm of my hand. I think it is inevitable that he doesn't make it through the night but I was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar to this before.

Regards,

I wish I could offer some words of wisdom here. could he have gotten stung by something in the tank. I had something like this happen many years ago. I think it was due to a tube anemone though. I am sorry and hope he comes out of it. Loosing a fish is terrible!
