Keeping a friends dream alive

Just about all of us here know RealBigFish well let me tell you the story of a real friend.

a couple years ago I was inside a pet store shopping thinking about getting into the salt water fish hobby. i start talking with this other person that was also inside the same fish store well he helped get into a hobby that i really do enjoy I started slowly with a fish only tank and let that go for awhile we met at the fish store several times a week to check out the new arrivels coming in. most if the time we had to take something home. well one day I go look at his reef tank that is at his house and it was the nicest tank i had ever seen in my life it was breath taking it looked so good I know there was alot of time and work in this tank.
well he gives me my first corals and i take them home and now I'm hooked I just can't wait to get more and better corals. with RealBigFishs help my lighting system over my 55Gal tank and wow now i have my own part of the reef ocean.
anytime i had a question no matter how silly my friend was there with the answer.
we started going on road trips to Atlanta going to fish stores looking for good deals on corals that we couldn't live without.
we shared alot of good times together riding and looking and spending lots of hard earned money.
over time our friendship got better and we started going to Florida deep sea fishing having a great time and catching alot of good eating fish. not aquariuam fish
well we both ended up getting girlfrends and we all know where that goes spending all our time with the ladies ..... but who can blame us
anyway... did i forget to tell everyone that RealBigFish has the greatest parents of all they are super nice people that i think the world of them. Thanks Guys for being so super nice to me.....
So a few weeks ago i get news that my friend is going to move to Florida now that was heart breaking but knowing that he is going to be happy means alot also.. anyway on the with the story.
he tells me that he is going to have to break his tank down.
now this is one alsome looking tank i mean it is a dream tank.
well after thinking about it i asked him if he was going to sell the livestock out of the tank that I wanted to buy some of it. he agreed.
well the other day he calls and i get a great surprise well he tells me that he is going to give me everything in this tank i was shocked
well i know that all this is not going to fit in my little 55gal tank that i already have lots of other corals in plus corals that RealBigFish had given me and these guys had babies
ok so i go out and start looking at more tanks man at the price of tanks now i know someone somewhere is getting rich... no harm meant to anyone so i start looking for a used tank somewhere but I don't have all the time in the world because he is also on a trip frame here.
So I called him up and asked him about just moving his tank over to my house and me just babysitting this until he can make room for it in Florida. to which he agreed would be a good idea.
This is a system that he has put lots and lots of greenbacks in i know and I know I must be a real friend to be trusted with something like this.
well we started one morning moving the tank. we got started at 900 am and got finshed and 12 midnight that night moving a 150gal tank stand livestock sand .. even most of the water was saved and moved with the tank. guys this move was amazing you should have been here I also have to thank realBigFishs Family again for all their help and support again without i don't know what we would have done.
now i have all RealBigFishs Dream corals here at my house and I plan on taking the best care I can of them. until a time when he wants his babies back. ya'll should see this tank now I am going to post pictures for all the see.
I almost forgot to tell everyone when we was moving the tank we went back to get the hood and the rest of the stuff for the tank and we forgot about a hose running to a pump that was inside a trash used to move water into the tank oh yea a back fill happened and i got about 20 gals of saltwater in my carpet ...
I don't know about anyone else but in my heart I know that one person in this world I am proud to call my friend and that is RealBigFish it is not because I have his tank here at my house it is because he has trusted me to be his friend and has got me started in a hobby that I can truly enjoy and something I can take pride in because it is not just anyone who can keep a reef tank going it takes time,hard work,and sometimes a little luck
Thank you guys.... Jamie,Scott,Dee,Jesse you guys really mean alot to me. Just always remember if you ever need me call me no matter what time of night or where you are. because without friends we are nothing

Nice story. You scared me at one point thinking your friend was going to croak somewhere a long the story line.

Yeah I know what you mean I though this is going to get tragic or some thing.

Excellent story although I was on the edge of my seat for awhile thinking something bad would happen

A persons success rate and cost savings can be increased greatly by having a mentor and friend like you describe. I'm sure you will make your friend glad he left his tank with you.

Yeah I thought it was gonna be tragic also. Glad it wasn't and it's always good to find good friends. Which can be hard to do sometimes. Ones you can trust and have common intrest. Good story

Ok guys the new lights i ordered came in last Friday and I put them in and boy is all the corals happy they like the new 10,000 k's going from 6500 to 10000s i made so corals real happy.
anyway I really enjoy this hobby and RealBigfish created a monster when he got me into this I now just sit in the room that has nothing but this tank in it for hours at a time and think of how i can make it look better.
Now i just need to find me some more coral fargs that i can put in the tank and watch them grow up into happy corals...

This tank is something else I see new life everyday all the corals have acted like they are in a whole new world i am just glad to see with us moving everything like we did that we lost nothing
