    Hi all sps fanatics

Just got this today from Steve Tyree-Echinopora lamellosa.I glued it and placed in the tank, but not sure if I glue it the right way I hope I did, as it seems that it grows in many different forms. here's a pic of it,tell me what you think guys/gals.

Looks nice .... is that similar to a capricornus? Is it a plating coral? It appears to be. I am sure it will grow just fine how you have it mounted.

    Hi Chuck,

It actualy belongs to the family Faviidae and grows in many diferent forms- whorls, tubes and plates included. After I posted the question,I moved the small piece of rock it is glued to so the piece is sort of laying down . I will see how it does in this position for now and move it if I see some problems.
BTW,I look at the montage you've maid of your pocillopora recovery,it's amazing how fast it is recovering.Speaks volume about your tanks overall health and your husbandry skills IMO.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

    Hi,

That's a good looking piece. I am on Steve's list for that coral later in the year. I'm curious. The color looks a little green in the pic but I think its described as a bluish coral. How does the color look to you and what lighting are you using? Do you have any idea what growth pattern to expect or if it is affected by the mounting position?

    Thanks for the advance word!

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

The coral actualy has bluish hue to it and I believe it is growing, albeit very little, but nonetheless I'll snap a shot of it and post a bit later. As far as growth form,I'm not sure at all. I have it mounted horizontaly, sort of hanging down like.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

Looks like you glued the right since it has already shown some growth.
