Does anyone use the magnets? I just got the 220.54 and it didn't come with felt. Should it of? What is everyone using?

Hi dean_2!
I use the Tunze 220.54 and both of the magnets have a covering. The outside magnet has a blue felt (although thin) and the inside magnet has a course material attached. I use it in our 75 SPS/Clam reef and am satisfied with it's performance.
BTW, Welcome to Reefland! Regards, |

I use the Magnavore VIII. It has a felt pad on the ouside magnet and a white acrylic safe pad on the inside magnet.
Regards, Kevin

I use magnavore 4 on my 110 glass tank and magnavore 1 on my 75 glass tank. Both came with acrylic safe pads in a separate bag and glass pads attached to magnets, felt on the outside and a white welcro type pad for inside. Work really well and are very strong magnets.

You should probably call the company or wherever you got it and ask if it was supposed to come with felt. They would most likely send you a replacement if it was missing.
