Unhappy How's this for a color change

I bought this colony couple of month back and it was light green/yellow with some pink on the tips. I've moved it up after about a month in my tank and now it turned to a darker green green with some red tips. Did I waited too long to move it up? And, can some of you gurus harbor a guess on id?

here's what it looked like when I first got it...

Here is one more Chuck, this one is looking through the front glass. I really liked that light color that it had in the beginning. It could have been bleached too,I'm not sure...

It's funny how we like the looks of somewhat bleached corals huh? I think that original color was great too, but I too think it was a bit bleached as well ... the color rendition now is looking much healthier, the top view is quiet different than the front view (but isn't that the way it always is?)

Nice piece.

I've got one more for you Chuck to try to ID. I gave up after about a week of going through Verons books .
it was severely burned by my rose bta and the bottom part is pretty much nuked. After I moved it to my 75g tank it started to recover and growing again on the top branches. I did not mount it yet as I'm not sure where I should place it. It is a very nice coral and been with me since sommer of last year. I think it needs more light then my 250's can provide

Here's a closer look

BTW, I agree with you on the bleaching/liking part I'm not sure if you remember discussion we had about a coral that Scott purchased and it was bleached a bit,and so were mine, hehe. You should see it now, totaly different looking in terms of color but I think much more healthy. I remember also that you've said that you lost your colony that was similar to Scotts.Am I wrong on this?

I think all of the pictures look great!

The one that we got that appeared blached has maintained the same cream color with purple tips. The coral appears to be very healthy with excellent polyp extension and some growth apparent on the tips. When I get some time this weekend I'll post a picture of it.

Regards,
Scott Z.

Scott,

This is great news I know my colony looks more brown than purple, but it is more purple in person. I'll try to take a top down pic of it sometime soon. How is your tank doing overall btw?Post your latest pic will you?

I've heard that the green pigments actually help reflect UV. Is that BS? Well if it is true than I think it is healthier now than before. Good lookin' stuff!
