Magnet cleaners, which one??!

I got bakc home yesterday to clean up the front glass of my 75 gal, only to find the inside magnet has leaked and I can see oxidation (copperish color) on the acrylic and I took out the inside magnet. I've already done the water changes, etc and everythign looks great still.

But now I have no magnet cleaner, this last one I got from PetCo, from Aquarium Systems i believe.

Should I get Tunze? or Which one?

Thanks,

Elmo

I, too use the floater magnet. I keep one in each tank, and have for over a year. So far no probs, and it's so handy the glass gets cleaned every other day--the small tank takes a whole 30 seconds.

Another vote for mag floats.....I got way tired of manually trying to retreive them.

I vote for the Tunze. I have used one for a while now and really like it. They are a bit more pricey but what isn't in this hobby. I do not keep mine in the tank and they do have the standard string to tie to both sides just in case it does fall off but even making the turns to clean the side glass mine has never come apart.

Regards,
Scott Z.

I have the Mag Float too(The big one)... its allright, but it really iritates me that it does'nt scrape of Coralline.
Get the Tunze, it may be more expensive but I think its worth it in the long run.

I use the Algae Free Brand Hammerhead Float on the inthewall 120 . It's a must . I leave it in the tank and give it a quick wipe every other day or so.
I use a regular Hammerhead othe 90 and a small mag float on one of the fuges.

i have a medium mag float. i love it. it doesn't get off coraline though, that's anoying. i've had it in the tank (without taking it out) for over a year and a half. the inside portion is completely covered in coraline. you can't even see gray on it.
