    Hi Mihn!

Your powder blue is stunning! What does it eat for you? I am currently feeding our brine soaked in Selcon and trying some of Sprung's Sea Veggies but the tang won't touch the sea veggies. I need to get something more healthy into his diet but can't seem to get him to accept anything else.

    Thoughts?

My PBT eats lots of Nori and essentially everything I put in the tank. All my fish love fish eggs that you can get for sale at Japanese/Oriental grocery store that is use for Susi. The tiny yellow eggs. You may want to try to get this. They will go wild for the eggs. Mysis shrimps also a very popular food for the tangs especially the PBT.
Regarding the Nori clips, if you have another tang that eatsfrom the clip, it will be very helpful, but if you cantinue to leave the clip in the tank, he will get use to it and start to eat from the clip.

    Minh,
I also noticed beautiful angelfish behind the Alveopora. How is he behaving in your reef?I always wanted to try angel in a reef tank but I don't have a big enough tank.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

My Majestic angel have been in my tank for the last wo years. He is great and not bother any of my clams or corals. I don't have any meaty type LPS except a Fungi. All my angels do not bother the Fungi or other corals.

Glad he's such a model resident for you.
It's a truly majestic looking fish and maybe one day when I have atleast 300g or bigger tank,I'll get to have one as well.
    Kind regards,

    Gene.

I have tried the Sea Veggies rubberbanded to a rock for several hours on about 4 different occasions now with no luck at all. I really need to find him something with more nutritional value than what he is getting from the brine soaked in Selcon. Maybe I'll give some mysis and try but that doesn't help out his veggie diet at all. Perhpas persistance will pay off, if I keep putting it in there maybe he'll go after it.

    tank dimensions? Ecosystem?

Beautiful pics. What are the dimensions of your 450 gal.

Also, are you still using the ecosystem filter?

    Scott,
I would fold the nori repeatedly in half in one dimention. You will end up with a cigaret like piece of nori. Attach tis on the side of the tank wiht a pastic clip so it is highly visible. sooner ore later, he will come over and investigate and you got him eatting. If you fold it like this the Nori will last for days if the tang did not eat it.

    GLD,
My tank is 32WX34HX96L. I have 125g tank as a lighted refugium (2X250WMH). I don't use the Ecosystem filter. IMO, there is nothing special about the Ecosystem. I think it Ecosystem will work just as well as my deepsand bed if I use enough of it. IMO, it is a waste of money that I don't have. I use a deep sand bed in the tank and in the refugium. I have started to add some Iron to my tank to stimulate Algae growth. The deep sand bed works great over the last four years and continue to do well. My fish are healthy, many spawned. My corals grow very fast. I do use lots of light and the ebill is high however.

    Minh,

What else do you have for tangs besides the a. japonicus and the blue? They are both gorgeous, btw, but I was tickled to see that you have the japonicus -- I don't think many people keep them and I think they are gorgeous. When I get my "big tank" I will definitely keep one.

I also have a Yellow tang, a Purple tang and a Mimic tang. The last 'Tang' I have is the Majestic Anglel. That are the 6 big fishes I have in my tank.
