I can just imagine a poor trigger inside an eclipse 6... Hopefully she didn't give you that look Dan!!!

You just planning on fish or any inverts?
Would look cool with some feathers and mushrooms...can those eclipse 6 thingies be toyed around with to house a PC?

yeah I wanna set it up with those LOA p.c.
s from home depot but she doesn't want me to screw with it..I still can't believe she wanted to put a trigger in there I have luckily learned to not give in to her looks even when especially when it comes to animals She doesn't take care of the tank I have to because she would kill everything and doesn't have the time or patience but she sure likes to complain at the 1st sign of any algae in there all i hear is the ritual....DAN,,,,,MY TANK,,,,,THEN I just have to yeah later......heheeh..anywyas what about soem kind of a pygmy angel or somethign???I have no clue i like the clowns but she wants something prettier...hey alex I took mine today(eclipse6) and gave her all my sand to add to her and all my l.r. that was in it could I keep a octapus or some kind of a little eel or something cool like that in it??????for me not her.....Dan

ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!
I Hear Ya Dan!
That's a bonofied "significant other"...hahaha!!!

I don't know about the pigmy angel though...need a lot of LR to pick on and 10lbs isn't much to play with.

So I gather you have the same system?
Won't both the eel and octopus outgrow that tank? I was thinking of a mantis...but an eclipse6 may be small for that also.

You just gotta love girlfriends...LOL!!!

Yeah, those systems look well put together...but how much can it actually hold being that size... I wouldn't know what to put in there, I've never been really into fish, I'd do the inverts...

They are actually set up really well I tend to like them her's is usually better than mine but has algae on the sand I just added my sand to hers today I never had that problem cus my sebae clown would constantly stir the sand and also unfoprtuantely clog the filter impellar had to tear that thing apart at least twice a week her perc's are much nicer to the tank I want a snowflake eel or somehting cool looking but I hear they get BIG!!

It takes a while but they do...played with a few of them in Bonaire on some dives...they hang out in shallow water inside rocks, they are curious creatures...and they didn't seem to mind the handling...cool experience!

AguaNut,

Here's a link to a site with instructions on how to fit two AHSupply PC's in the Eclipse 6.

I am just setting one up too and will most likely call them next week and see if they will cut the 17" reflector to fit the Eclipse hood (its 15"). However, I am a little worried about the heat and may just add the one blue pc, which I hear will also fit behind the NO bulb that is in there.

Here's the link:

That's great info Joyce...Thanks!
I would worry about the heat and wouldn't know if just 4x1" vent holes will be enough to ease the heat from the PCs. But what an idea!

Hey Dan...There you go, SCREW THE FO TANK and go NANO!

AguaNut,

You're welcome. Heat is the reason I am thinking of just adding the one 13 watt blue pc bulb.

Right now I am setting up a refugium to grow caulerpa for my tang. But of course, I will probably add some live rock, some low light corals...maybe a neon goby or two. OK, so it'll be a mini-reef.

I may eventually put 2 seahorses in mine after its 6 months old and has tons of critters. I am ordering the detritivore kits from Inland & IPSF to get the sand bed going really well. However, I hesitate to advise others to get the seahorses without the warning that they do require LOTS of care and VERY frequent feedings all day.

Asix line srasse might work or a fire fish or neon goby are few that would work. Most damsels.

I was talking to biogeek a few months back via emaila nd he has the same tank that he set up as a nano I forgot to ask him about the heat factor though but he actually ditched the blue p.c. and just ran 2 of the whites since he said the blue actually made no difference except making one side of the tank look a bit blue....look into fitting a LOA lights of america set upon there if it would fit it might be a little cheaper but ahsupply's setup 2x13 is farily priced..
