Everybody uses something different, some nothing at all , I just want to hear what you guys dose your tanks with (apart from kalk...) Does anyone have a preference to Kent Marine vs Seachem etc ?? Who uses Reef Complete, Reef Builder, Reef Plus, Coral Vite, Zoe Marine etc etc etc....
Looking forward to your replies Jamie |

Glad you brought this topic up as it has been one of debate. I just began using C-Balance by two little fishes, I only have to add iodine periodically... After only a week, I have noticed a considerable difference in my polyps.... will report back in a few months to let you know the long term advantage at least in my tank.

Hi Jamie,
I use only 2 manually added supplements in my reef. I run a KNOP-C calcium reactor to keep calcium and alkalinity in check. I add ESV B-Ionic Magnesium supplement and ESV Potassium Iodide per instructions. Works for me!!! ------------------ Greg |

Yes forgot i do use reef vital dna and live sand booster as well every now and then but find if i use it as much as instructed on an established system it causes algae on my glass to grow quicker

We've been using Kalkwasser, but it is incredibly clumsy to dose. And pH is steadily rising. Will try Reef Builder soon.

Hmmm... so what I am reading out of this is that try something, if it works it works, if it doesn't no stress
That was what I was thinking anyway ... every tank is different, and as long as params are in check and water quality is spot on, we should be able to give the fauna we rip from the oceans a decent chance of a semi-normal life (Hmmm.... getting on a soapbox a bit here... Sorry ) Jamie [This message has been edited by The_Bandit (edited 07-05-2000).] |

Currently using ESV B-Ionic 2 part system and B-Ionic Magnesium...also ESV potassium Iodide and Strontium Chloride...
Have tried over the years...kalk, Kent turbo cal, Kent Super dkH, Kent Trace elements, Kent Strontium, molybdenum (?), Kent Iodine, Tropic marin Bio-Calcium (one of my favorites, but can get quite costly), Seachem iodine and Seachem Strontium....I like the ESV obviously.
