Post Tigertail Cukes

Are these guys going to eat up the sand critters or are they just sand cleaners.

Also are they aclamated like a starfish.

They just sift the sand... your critters are safe. They should acclimated over a large period of time... maybe a few hours.

Wow 202 eh Stang69 getting up there you are!! I just got 2 smaller TT cukes today I hope they aclimate ok!!!!!

Caribbean "tiger tail" cukes (Holothuria hilla), are good sand bed moppers that do not harm the beneficial fauna. http://www.animalnetwork.com/fish2/a...wb/default.asp

Hi, I have two of these guys in my 130. They sift the sand not harming the fauna in it. One thing you need to be carefull with these guys is that they do climb the glass. This has posed some problems for people running PH's. If the PH's do not have strainers on them you run the chance of them getting sucked in. Other than that they are great to move the surface of you LSB around.

hey what about the black or other cukes, or is the tigertail the best cuke for the reef?? my wife wants one.

Yes, the ugly black ones and the ugly brown ones are OK, too. People prefer the "tiger tails" because they seem to remain relatively small compared to some of the others.
