Copperbanded and Aiptasia

Will a med. sized Copperbanded eat anysize aiptasia I have a couple that are 1-1.5 in tall, The Copperbanded I am going to get is about 2.5-3in round. Will he eat the bigger aiptasia

In my experience with using a Copperband butterfly, it only would go after the very small aiptasia. It cleaned every fan worm off of the rocks, which I didn't want to happen. After about 3-4 months the copperband died. My reading indicates that this is normal. It is very simular to trying to keep Mandarins. I ended up getting peppermint shrimp and they did the job. You have to be patient and wait a little while but they will eventually go after the aiptasia, big and small. I have not had any problem with the peppermint eating any good stuff and I have not seen any aiptasia in months. The peppermint is eating very small elephant ear mushrooms which have become as bad as the aiptasia in my tank. So, there may be a problem later.
